Crewe Alexandra Issues Three-Year Ban to Fan Over Pyrotechnic Incident

Following Saturday’s League Two match, which saw Crewe draw 1-1 with Walsall, Crewe Alexandra has issued a three-year ban to a supporter. The ban stems from an allegation that the individual threw a pyrotechnic onto the pitch at Walsall. The 31-year-old man was arrested after the incident on Saturday and is scheduled to appear in court later this month. A statement from Crewe highlighted that “Incidents of this nature cause damage to the club’s reputation and can lead to substantial financial penalties and cannot be tolerated.” The club also affirmed: “Crewe Alexandra would like to reaffirm a resolute commitment to taking decisive action against fans who attempt to bring banned items into a stadium, or those who discharge pyrotechnics.”
