Legal proceedings have commenced for two women facing charges of harassing a Member of Parliament concerning the continuing conflict between Gaza and Israel. The individuals, aged 25 and 31, both residents of Treforest, Rhondda Cynon Taf, confirmed only their identities and residential details during their appearance at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates’ Court. The accusations against them include shouting at Alex Davies-Jones, the Labour MP representing Pontypridd, in a public street regarding Gaza, and causing criminal damage to her parliamentary office. A trial date has been set for 25 February at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court, with both women granted conditional bail until that time.
