Initiatives are being implemented to assist businesses impacted by a significant fire at an industrial premises. A Worcestershire county councillor has committed to providing support for individuals and entities affected by the inferno at Bury End Farm in Rectory Road, close to Upton upon Severn. Furthermore, a fundraising campaign was established for a man who operated a private gym and, as stated on the page, reportedly lost his facility, equipment, personal awards, and source of income. Seven fire engines were dispatched to the location shortly before 07:00 GMT on Saturday. Residents in the area were advised to keep windows and doors shut due to the dense, dark smoke. The Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service reported that the origin of the fire, currently under investigation, remains undetermined. Councillor Martin Allen expressed apprehension that the repercussions of the fire would constitute a “terrible loss” for companies situated at the site, and he affirmed his resolve to assist them. He stated his intention to visit the premises, once safety is assured, to assess the scope of the damage, following which he would contact the county and district councils to solicit aid. “My understanding at the moment is that four businesses have been affected, but of course there may be more,” he stated. He indicated that any individuals or businesses impacted could reach out to him via social media, telephone, or email. Separately, the fundraising page conveyed that Martin Burford had suffered a complete loss of his private gym’s contents in the fire. The creator of the page mentioned that he had “poured his heart and soul” into the endeavor and that the aim was to support him in his “return to glory.”
