Sam Costelow and Tom Rogers were among eight Scarlets players included in the Wales squad this autumn. The United Rugby Championship fixture between Glasgow and Scarlets is set for Friday, 29 November, at Scotstoun Stadium in Glasgow, with a kick-off time of 19:35 GMT. Live coverage will be available on BBC Two Wales, along with live text and commentary on the BBC Sport website and app. Wales internationals Tom Rogers and Sam Costelow will be absent from the Scarlets’ journey to face United Rugby Championship (URC) defending champions Glasgow on Friday evening. Wing Rogers is sidelined due to a calf issue, while fly-half Costelow is unavailable after sustaining a head injury that forced him off the field during Wales’ 45-12 defeat against South Africa. Tonga number eight Vaea Fifita is cleared to play after being out of action with a knee problem since the season’s opening game. Dwayne Peel’s team currently sits sixth in the URC table, having secured three wins and a draw from their six matches played so far. Costelow was substituted at half-time against the Springboks. Rogers, following an impressive performance against Australia, was initially named to play against South Africa but was a late withdrawal from the starting lineup. “Sam has picked up a bit of a head knock on the weekend, so he’s going through his head injury assessment (HIA) return to play protocols,” Peel stated. Regarding Rogers, Peel added: “Tommy [Rogers] isn’t right but I don’t think it’s a long-term issue, so we will manage him this week. “It’s hopefully not a major problem, so we’ll see how he pans out, potentially for next week or the week after. We’re probably looking at that sort of time frame.” Other Scarlets players who were part of the Wales squad included Eddie James, Blair Murray, Kemsley Mathias, Ryan Elias, Henry Thomas, and Taine Plumtree. “The rest are available for selection,” Peel confirmed. He further commented: “For us, it’s about welcoming them back into the fold. We’re proud of what they achieve as well when they go away. “I get the results have been tough, but it’s about getting them back and quickly into what we’re trying to do.” Post navigation Caicedo Expresses Joy After Equalizing Goal EFL Preview: Boxing Day Fixtures
