Law enforcement officials have confirmed that suspected illegal substances have been discovered along the Cornwall coastline for the third occasion within a single month. Devon and Cornwall Police reported receiving notifications regarding packages containing suspected illicit materials appearing on a beach in the county’s south-east over Saturday and Sunday. Authorities stated that officers responded to these reports, and the packages were subsequently retrieved for forensic analysis. This follows two previous incidents within the same timeframe. On Monday, suspected packages were located on the Lizard peninsula in Cornwall. Additionally, at the start of October, similar packages were discovered on a beach situated in the eastern part of the region. The police force indicated that investigations into these occurrences are continuing. They also issued a caution to the public, stating, “you may see an increased presence around the coast.”
