An acclaimed composer is scheduled to present a unique performance featuring a musical composition he states draws inspiration from his heart attack experience. Nitin Sawhney, known as a producer, DJ, and songwriter, will present this original work when his ensemble joins the Hallé orchestra, based in Manchester, for a performance in the city during December. The event had initially been called off following his heart attack in May, after which he underwent a period of recovery from surgery. Sawhney, who received a Mercury Prize nomination in 2000 for his electronic album *Beyond Skin*, stated that the composition “captures the feeling and internal psychology of having a heart attack”. Throughout his extensive career, which spans various genres and includes over 20 album releases, Sawhney has collaborated with musicians such as Paul McCartney, Sting, and Annie Lennox. The Rochester-born artist’s joint performance with the Hallé is scheduled for 5 December at the Bridgewater Hall. He expressed that the orchestra is “one of his favourites” and conveyed his anticipation for performing the new composition alongside them. He elaborated: “I am musically focusing on what happened around me at the time in relation to how I was medically treated.” He added, “But also the aftermath of it in relation to my mental and emotional state.” Post navigation Artist Alex Chinneck Unveils Surreal Street Furniture Sculptures in Bristol City Centre Wolverhampton-Based Luke Combs Tribute Band Set for US Tour
