A convenience store in Staffordshire was the scene of a knifepoint robbery where money was taken after employees were threatened. On Saturday, around 21:50 GMT, a masked individual brandished a knife and demanded funds from two staff members at a Co-op branch located on High Street in Tean. Law enforcement officials stated that the assailant was armed with a kitchen knife and provided a description of his attire, which included a grey jacket, joggers, black gloves, and brown walking boots. The Staffordshire police force has issued an appeal for individuals possessing any relevant information to come forward. “Officers have gathered CCTV from the scene and have carried out a number of inquiries as part of our investigation into the incident,” police said. “We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or those with information that can help with our investigation.” The police force further noted that information can also be submitted confidentially through Crimestoppers.
