Individuals in Guernsey seeking face-to-face assistance from Citizens Advice will henceforth be required to contact the organization to schedule an appointment. The charity indicated that moving from drop-in sessions to a pre-booked system would guarantee an advisor’s availability when needed. This decision, they added, is part of the charity’s relocation to a new facility and will exclusively impact in-person consultations. Ali Marquis, chief executive of Citizens Advice Guernsey, stated that over 70% of appointments are already arranged by phone, thus necessitating that in-person appointments be made “at a mutually convenient time”. Citizens Advice Guernsey (CAG) is relocating from the Bridge to the Grow charity site, situated at the Petits Quartiers Vinery. The office at the Bridge will close at 12:30 GMT on December 24, with the new office scheduled to open on January 13. Ali Marquis commented that the move represents “an opportune time for reflection” and aids the charity in “look[ing] forward to the future”. She further added, “We exist to help the local community and the move to Grow will allow us to work smarter and more flexibly; ensuring we reach all those who need our help.” Post navigation King’s Award for Voluntary Service Bestowed Upon Two Mountain Rescue Teams 91-Year-Old RAF Veteran to Honor LGBTQ+ Service Members on Remembrance Sunday
