Football pundit Chris Sutton is providing predictions for all 380 Premier League matches this season, featuring various guests. For week 11, he is joined by Mylee and Tate, characters from the CBBC football drama Jamie Johnson FC (JJFC), a series set within an elite academy at the fictional Premier League club Hawx United. Sutton’s forecast for the match is a 1-2 victory. He noted that Brighton, despite a loss last week, demonstrated exceptional performance against Liverpool at Anfield for 45 minutes. Sutton, who covered the game for BBC Radio 5 Live, expressed admiration for young Seagulls midfielders Yasin Ayari and Jack Hinshelwood. He highlighted their impressive bravery and confidence in playing out from the back, which compelled Liverpool to exert significant effort to recover from a 1-0 deficit and secure a win. Sutton suggested that Manchester City will need to display a similar level of effort to return to winning form. Following their Tuesday defeat to Sporting, City midfielder Bernardo Silva commented that the team is “in a dark place” at the moment. However, Sutton anticipates a strong response from the reigning champions, believing their need to prove a point could provide the necessary energy. Mylee’s prediction is a 2-3 scoreline, stating, “I am hoping for a City defeat here! It is going to be close, but I actually think they will win.” Tate, on the other hand, predicted a 4-3 victory for Brighton, remarking, “There are going to be a lot of goals… and Brighton are going to win. City slipped up last week, and it might happen again.”
