A singer from Strictly Come Dancing described the journey of this year’s champion, Chris McCausland, as “magical.” Hayley Sanderson, a member of the house band from Bourne, commented that observing McCausland, the program’s inaugural blind contestant, was “insane.” The comedian secured the glitterball trophy in Saturday’s final, triumphing over singer JB Gill, actress Sarah Hadland, and former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri. Sense, a charity supporting people with disabilities, expressed its hope that McCausland’s victory would “break down barriers” for other individuals. Prior to the final, Ms Sanderson had predicted McCausland would win the series, characterizing his performances as “brilliant.” She stated: “I think when there’s certain bits of magic going on, like what Chris is doing, or what Rose [Ayling-Ellis] did, and Dianne [Buswell]; what she does with him, it’s crazy. It’s brilliant.” Each finalist presented three routines before a live audience and the Strictly judges, preceding a public vote to determine the champion. However, Ms Sanderson disclosed that she does not observe the dancefloor activities, as her attention is fixed on David Arch, the program’s musical director and conductor. She explained: “I have to just watch Dave and just concentrate like crazy.” She added: “He’s brilliant. He’s a genius. I’ve never worked with anyone like him, he’s out of this world. So your eyes are locked to him, because he knows exactly what’s going on at all points.” Post navigation Rare Harry Potter First Edition Book Fetches £36,000 Disabled Man Removed from Concert After Staff Mistake Medical Condition for Intoxication
