Chris Coleman, who famously guided Wales to the semi-finals of Euro 2016, has taken on the managerial role at OH Leuven, a struggling club in Belgium’s top division. This appointment follows his departure from his previous position just three days prior. The 54-year-old recently left his head coach post at Cypriot side AEL Limassol, where he had been in charge since May of this year. Coleman’s exit from AEL Limassol was by mutual consent. He now assumes leadership of an OH Leuven team that currently sits third from the bottom in the Belgium Pro League, having achieved only three wins from 15 games this season. His former club, Limassol, is presently ranked eighth in the Cypriot first division, with a record of four victories from 11 matches this term. Limassol released a statement concerning his departure, which read: “We sincerely thank Mr Coleman for his contribution to our team during our partnership. His ethos and character are elements that have won the respect of all who make up our football department.” The statement concluded: “We wish him every success in the next phase of his career, as well as health and happiness on a personal level.” Post navigation Imogen Grant Sets Sights on 2028 LA Games with New Rowing Challenge Test Your Knowledge of Wales’ 2022 Autumn Rugby Series
