Two new recreational areas for children aged up to 12 have commenced operations in Saltash, Cornwall. The updated equipment was installed within the play zones situated on Honeysuckle Way and Grassmere Way. This initiative was realized following a £75,000 grant from Cornwall Council’s Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) fund, alongside £20,000 in funding provided by Saltash Town Council. Mayor of Saltash Councillor Julia Peggs stated that the location was well-received by families. “We are delighted with the new play areas, which have really improved play provision on Pillmere, an area of Saltash that is home to many families, some of whom have been travelling substantial distances to use alternative facilities,” she said. “We really appreciate the support of Cornwall Council’s CIL funding to allow this project to proceed.” Post navigation Historic St Thomas Becket Casket Scheduled for Cathedral Exhibition Dog rescued after being found ‘frozen’ in snow, now blind, seeks permanent home
