A residential facility catering to children with social and emotional difficulties has been designated “outstanding” by Ofsted inspectors. Amersall Home, managed by Doncaster Council, is licensed to provide care for a maximum of four children. Following their inspection at the close of August, the Ofsted report indicated that Amersall provided an environment akin to a family home, with staff dedicated to “significantly improve outcomes” for its young residents. Doncaster Council commended the staff’s “amazing hard work” for achieving Ofsted’s highest possible rating. The inspectors noted that the team at Amersall Home assisted children in fostering “warm and interactive relationships with each other”. Furthermore, they observed that staff cultivated an atmosphere where children experienced a sense of care and belonging. The report also cited a former resident of Amersall Home, who informed inspectors: “It was a brilliant place to live, the best. It helped me turn my life around.” The inspection team determined that staff received strong support, led by a manager described as “ambitious for children to have the best opportunities in life”. Earlier this year, Cromwell Home, another children’s residential facility operated by City of Doncaster Council, similarly received an outstanding rating from Ofsted. Councillor Lani-Mae Ball, who holds the cabinet portfolio for early help, young people, and children’s social care, stated: “We are very proud to have received a second outstanding rating in recent months. This is a testament to the amazing hard work our teams do every day to support our children and young people.” Post navigation Guide Dog Puppies Engage in Training Session at Aquarium Community Effort Propels Sólás Towards New Facility
