Norfolk boxer Emma Dolan emphasized the significance of each bout in her career as she anticipates a thrilling conclusion to the current year. Dolan, who holds the distinction of being the inaugural Commonwealth female super-flyweight champion and a British title holder, is scheduled to face the unbeaten Megan Redstall in December. The boxer from Hockering maintains an undefeated record, having secured seven victories prior to her upcoming December bout in London. Should Dolan emerge victorious, it would open avenues for a promising 2025, during which she aims to contend for more significant international accolades. Dolan, aged 26, expressed her enthusiasm for the challenge presented by confronting 23-year-old Redstall, from Wiltshire, who has won three fights and drawn one in her short career. “It’s good to be fighting another undefeated British girl,” Dolan commented. “I could have a run out like some girls do and fight someone with 20 losses on their record, but I’m stepping up.” The December fight in London marks Dolan’s third defense of her title, and she stated she is approaching the contest “very seriously,” anticipating the opportunity to deliver “a big statement.” “You’ve got these fighters coming through and they all want something that I’ve got – that’s what motivates me to train hard.” The boxer from Norfolk has not participated in competitive bouts since June, but has maintained rigorous training during the intervening months. “I’m not one of these people who aren’t in the gym – I’m working on things, learning all the time,” the Hockering-based athlete informed BBC Radio Norfolk. Although securing a victory against Redstall would create additional prospects for Dolan, the British title holder also faces a degree of risk. “Every fight at this stage in my career is a massive fight, because [if there are] any slip-ups, and you’re on a downward slope.” Dolan is set to headline the event in her match against Redstall at London’s York Hall on 8 December.
