Last year, Aberdeen was defeated 1-0 by Rangers in the final, marking the 10th instance the Dons have been runners-up in the competition. The Pittodrie men, who commenced their campaign in the group stage, have advanced to Hampden by winning six matches against lower-league opposition. During this run, they have scored 20 goals while conceding only one, which occurred in a 2-1 victory over Aridrie. Celtic secured their spot in the last four by overcoming Hibs with a 3-1 scoreline and Falkirk with a 5-2 victory.
