Celtic secured two accolades at this year’s Scottish Women’s Football awards ceremony. Manager Elena Sadiku was named SWPL coach of the year, having guided Celtic to clinch their first ever women’s league title. Additionally, midfielder Amy Gallacher was honored as the SWPL player of the year. The playmaker’s winning goal on the final day of the season last year ultimately secured the title for her side. Rangers also received two awards; striker Laura Berry, currently on loan at Motherwell, was designated young player of the Year, while Tessel Middag was presented with the ‘Val McDermid Spirit of SWF’ award.
