The festival established in memory of the late television presenter Caroline Flack is set to relocate from its Berkshire estate venue to London starting next year, according to a recent announcement. Named Flackstock, the event has taken place for three consecutive summers at Englefield House since 2022, with the purpose of generating funds for mental health charities. The upcoming iteration is scheduled for 8 August at the Crystal Palace Bowl in south London, where it will be integrated into the South Facing series of events. Ms. Flack, known for presenting Love Island, died by suicide in 2020 when she was 40 years old. Christine Flack, her mother, stated that her decision to establish the event stemmed from her daughter being “never more herself or happier than at a music festival with her sister and her friends”. The organizers anticipate that this relocation will enhance accessibility for attendees, as the event will now coincide with the summer holidays. The previous event at Englefield House occurred on a Monday in July, falling within term time. Notable performers at the event included Shaznay Lewis of All Saints and Olly Murs, with Denise Van Outen contributing a DJ set. Funds generated by the festival are directed towards the Charlie Waller Trust, Mind, Choose Life, and Samaritans. Among the artists who have previously performed are Sophie Ellis-Bextor, JP Cooper, and Matt Goss, formerly of Bros. A representative for the Englefield Estate conveyed that the estate had been “incredibly proud” to host Flackstock and extended wishes for “every success at the event’s new venue” to the organizers.
