Albany Road Primary School, located in Roath, Cardiff, has enacted a partial closure affecting some classrooms following a roof leak caused by heavy rainfall. These specific classrooms will remain inaccessible until next Monday. Cardiff council indicated that four classes would be relocated to an alternative venue until Friday. The school is set to continue operations for the majority of its classes starting Tuesday, with a complete reopening scheduled for Monday, 18 November. In a statement, the council affirmed: “Following heavy rainfall, inspections have been carried out by the council which have found that the roof, which is planned to be upgraded due to its condition, has suffered several leaks which require urgent repairs.”
