Cardiff Devils secured a convincing 4-1 victory against Guildford Flames on Sunday, following their 6-0 thrashing of Manchester Storm on Saturday. Forward Joey Martin contributed goals in both of the weekend’s matches. Evan Mosey opened the scoring at the 35-minute mark, after the first period concluded without any goals. The Devils subsequently dominated the final period, with goals contributed by Brett Perlini, Joey Martin, and Cole Sanford. Ethan Strang netted a late powerplay consolation goal for the visiting team, while the Devils’ returning netminder, Ben Bowns, successfully saved 29 shots. The Devils maintain their position at the top of the Elite League standings, holding a seven-point lead over Coventry Blaze, who have played three fewer games. Their next fixtures are scheduled for next weekend, as they host the Belfast Giants on Saturday and then travel to face the Nottingham Panthers.
