Local parish authorities have resolved to reposition a bus stop to its former site, following a complaint from a woman who stated its current placement was infringing upon her privacy. The St Helier Roads Committee had advocated for its return to the Whitely Close junction at Grands Vaux, situated around the corner from its recent placement. Louise Carter reported that individuals were occupying her doorstep and looking into her living room while awaiting the bus. While expressing satisfaction with the relocation, she voiced concern that other residents might encounter similar problems once the move occurs. Carter stated, “I’m delighted that I’m not having to see the bus stop, it was only the five buses this morning when I was trying to get ready.” She added, “With my bathroom and my living room both facing the bus stop, it’s not great.” The infrastructure department confirmed its accountability for relocating the stop and stated it plans to engage with the Roads Committee within the coming days.
