A significant bus stop situated near a hospital is scheduled for a three-week closure to facilitate ongoing works. Specifically, the QM02 bus stop, located on Derby Road, adjacent to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC), is set to cease operation starting Monday. A temporary bus stop will be established approximately 100 meters to the right of the current location to serve as a replacement. The purpose of these works is to enhance the layout of the current bus stop through modifications to the kerb line, the installation of tactile warning paving, and the resurfacing of the pavement. Pedestrians will be directed via a signed diversion route, commencing from the QMC roundabout and proceeding along the Derby Road service road and the designated crossing. Additionally, signage indicating the relevant services will be positioned at the temporary bus stop for the following services: During the second week of the project, beginning Monday, 11 November, lane closures will be implemented to ensure the safe execution of surfacing works.
