Former Brighton forward Bobby Zamora has expressed his delight at being able to “help the club again” following his appointment as a consultant for strikers. This marks the 43-year-old’s third tenure with Albion, where he also serves as a club ambassador, having previously played for the team twice on the south coast. During an appearance on BBC Radio Sussex’s Albion Unlimited podcast, Zamora detailed his responsibilities in this new capacity: “I have been in working with the strikers – not necessarily with everything on the pitch but looking at previous games, providing a bit of analysis, sitting down with the players, talking about how they can improve their game and what we can work on.” He noted the significant talent within the squad, stating, “There are five guys that are genuinely all really good players and are all pushing each other.” Zamora identified the primary difficulty in his role as “dealing with those guys mentally.” He elaborated on the difficulties faced by strikers when their teammates, particularly those ahead of them or currently in the starting lineup, are performing strongly and scoring goals. Zamora emphasized that his task involves “managing that and trying to keep their confidence up, not their frustration.” Zamora, who netted 51 goals in 108 matches for Brighton, indicated that his decision to come back as a coach felt like a natural progression. He remarked, “My history at the club is well known,” adding that “Coming here, scoring goals and being a big part of its history is phenomenal.” Zamora expressed, “It is a big pleasure for me to be a part of it. I absolutely love the club. It’s an opportunity for me to come in and help the club again, in a different way this time.” Post navigation Transfer Rumors Involving Chelsea Wallabies Centre Joseph Suaalii May Be Fit for Ireland Match
