Blackburn Rovers manager John Eustace has issued an update concerning several injury issues within the club, ahead of their forthcoming match against Hull City on Saturday, scheduled for a 15:00 GMT kick-off. Midfielder Arnor Sigurdsson is anticipated to be back in action within a couple of weeks, following a thigh injury he sustained at the beginning of November. “We’ve got to be really careful with Siggy. He came back about three weeks ago and just pushed it a little bit too early so we’ve got to build him up properly,” Eustace informed BBC Radio Lancashire. He further emphasized, “It’s important when he comes back next time that he doesn’t break down so we’ve got to look after him.” In other injury news, goalkeeper Balazs Toth is “still struggling” with an ankle injury, and forward Andi Weimann, who is dealing with a knee issue, will also be unavailable for the trip to the MKM Stadium. Defender Hayden Carter is currently recovering from knee surgery and is expected to make his comeback towards the close of January or in early February.
