The list of candidates for the 2024 BBC Sports Personality of the Year award is scheduled for release on Monday. The six nominated individuals will be disclosed via the BBC Sport website and its application starting at 07:00 GMT. The ceremony for this year’s awards is set to take place at MediaCityUK in Salford on Tuesday, 17 December. Gabby Logan, Alex Scott, and Clare Balding are slated to host the live broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, commencing at 19:00 GMT. A total of eight accolades will be presented, encompassing the esteemed principal award, which was claimed last year by England goalkeeper Mary Earps. Public voting remains active for the World Sport Star of the Year award, featuring Simone Biles, Caitlin Clark, Catherine Debrunner, Armand Duplantis, Sifan Hassan, and Leon Marchand as contenders for the honor.
