Personnel from BBC Guernsey have commenced a 24-hour swimming endeavor, aiming to cover 24 miles (39km) to benefit BBC Children in Need (CiN). The five-member group initiated this challenge at Beau Sejour at 08:00 BST, with a deadline of 08:00 on 6 November to finish the swim. Reporter Olivia Fraser commented, “It’s going to be a lot to fit in 24 hours – I’m nervous and excited.” According to CiN bosses, the charity is presently allocating £224,797 to projects within Guernsey. These initiatives are part of a broader portfolio of almost 1,500 projects supported by CiN throughout the British Isles.
