A bridge, which had been inaccessible since April, has now resumed operation, coinciding with the Christmas period. The Network Rail structure situated on Badgeworth Road was shut down subsequent to an inspection that identified deteriorating embankments on its approach and subsidence in parts of the road surface. Gloucestershire County Council confirmed that a complete closure of the thoroughfare was implemented “for safety reasons.” Throughout the period of closure, Network Rail carried out the stabilisation of the embankments through piling methods and supervised the resurfacing of the road. The route became operational again this week. Jason Humm, the director of transport and highways for the county council, conveyed his satisfaction that the bridge had become available for use “in time for Christmas.” “Network Rail has carried out extensive work to stabilise the embankments and make the road safe for use again,” he stated. He added, “This was a challenging job and we thank local residents for their patience during the works.” Post navigation Euston Station’s Large Screen to Display Travel Information Instead of Advertisements Bus passengers express dissatisfaction over service reductions and fare increase
