A body believed to be Sarah Cunningham, an artist who disappeared in north London during the early hours of Saturday, has been discovered. Ms. Cunningham, aged 31, was last observed around 03:00 GMT on Jamestown Road in Camden, dressed in a black vest top, a skirt, and Converse trainers. According to a post by Camden Police on X, emergency services responded to a call at Chalk Farm Underground station in the early hours of Monday, where they located “a casualty on the tracks.” The post further stated that the death “is being treated as unexpected but at this time it is not thought to be suspicious,” and noted that Ms. Cunningham’s family had been notified and asked for privacy. The police force indicated that formal identification has not yet occurred. Officers from the Metropolitan Police are collaborating with the British Transport Police to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Following the announcement, Jamie Klingler, co-founder of the women’s safety organization Reclaim These Streets, shared a message on X, stating: “Thank you to everyone that helped spread the word. Please respect her family’s privacy at this time.” London’s Lisson Gallery, which has featured Ms. Cunningham’s work, had previously posted an appeal on Instagram for anyone with information to contact the Met Police, and her brother Anthony had also used social media to seek information. Ms. Cunningham was born in Nottingham and pursued her education at Loughborough University. Her artistic creations have been showcased in exhibitions across Germany, Canada, and the United States.
