Irish police (gardaí) have apprehended a man in his 60s as part of their ongoing inquiry into a 2022 explosion in Creeslough, County Donegal. The incident, which claimed the lives of 10 individuals, occurred at a service station in the village on October 7, 2022. The deceased included four men, three women, two teenagers, and a five-year-old girl, all of whom resided in Creeslough or its surrounding areas. Gardaí stated that the man has been arrested for “alleged offences contrary to the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997.” Creeslough is a small village situated in the north-west of Ireland, approximately 15 miles (24km) from Letterkenny and 30 miles (48km) from the border with Northern Ireland. It has an estimated population of about 400 people. The investigation is being coordinated from Milford Garda station, with support provided by the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation and other agencies.
