Arrest Made Following Serious A14 Road Collision

An individual has been taken into custody subsequent to a significant road traffic collision on the A14 earlier today. According to Northamptonshire Police, a 21-year-old male, identified as being from Leicestershire, was apprehended on suspicion of “causing serious injury through careless/inconsiderate driving” and remains detained. During the incident, which occurred on the A14’s westbound carriageway, specifically just before junction 10 for Kettering within Northamptonshire, a man in his forties suffered severe head and neck injuries and was transported to University Hospital Coventry. The vehicle he was operating, a white Mercedes Sprinter van, struck the nearside barrier. Three additional occupants of the van received minor injuries.
