An arrest has been made in connection with an assault that left a teenager with severe facial and neck injuries. The individual taken into custody is a 15-year-old male. According to police, the 13-year-old victim was attacked in an alleyway situated near Gino’s takeaway in Anlaby, a location close to Hull. The incident occurred around 20:40 GMT on Sunday. Humberside Police reported that the younger boy, while walking with companions, was confronted by two teenage boys and two teenage girls, and subsequently hit with a glass bong. A spokesperson confirmed that the 15-year-old has been apprehended on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm and is currently being held in police custody. Detective Inspector Andy Crawforth stated: “This is an awful set of circumstances that have left a young boy with serious injuries.” He continued: “I would like to offer reassurances that my team are conducting several lines of inquiry since the incident occurred to identify those involved.” He further mentioned that law enforcement personnel are reviewing CCTV footage and appealed to anyone possessing relevant information to get in touch with the police department.
