Arrest Made After Fatal Car-E-Scooter Collision

An individual has been apprehended following a collision involving a car and an e-scooter that resulted in a fatality. Police reported that the driver of the car failed to remain at the incident site, which occurred on Masefield Drive, Tamworth, Staffordshire, approximately at 19:30 GMT on Wednesday. The 47-year-old male victim was pronounced deceased at the location. The authorities further stated that a 28-year-old man, a resident of Tamworth, was taken into custody on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and continues to be held.
