An arrest has been made in Edinburgh following an incident where a dog bit both a woman and a police officer. The animal initially attacked the woman in the Willowbrae area of the city at approximately 09:10. It then turned on a male officer, who was responding to the situation, and subsequently fled the location. The officer required medical treatment at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. The dog was later located on the old Restalrig Railway Path, near Easter Road, and taken into custody by officers. A 37-year-old man, identified as the dog’s owner, has been charged in connection with several offences. He is scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
