Arne Slot Cautions Against Over-Reliance on Mohamed Salah

Liverpool’s head coach, Arne Slot, has indicated that the team’s significant reliance on Mohamed Salah poses “a bit” of a risk. This season, the forward has participated in 20 matches, achieving 13 goals and providing 11 assists. Slot stated, “I am not worried his numbers will drop off but more about an injury.” He added, “Federico Chiesa has had a difficult start because of injuries, so we don’t really have a replacement for Mo.” He further commented, “But Harvey Elliott is getting fitter and fitter and has played this position before. The best thing that can happen to us is Mo stays fit and keeps producing these numbers.”
