Aimee Mackin contributed to Armagh’s victory over Kerry in this year’s Ladies National Football League Division One semi-final. However, she was subsequently ruled out due to injury from the All-Ireland semi-final three months later, a match that Kerry ultimately won. Armagh is scheduled to commence the defence of their Ladies National Football League Division One title on 25 January, facing All-Ireland champions Kerry in an away fixture. Armagh secured a 2-12 to 2-9 win against Kerry in this season’s Division One final in early April. Nevertheless, Kerry, referred to as the Kingdom, later retaliated by defeating Armagh 1-8 to 0-7 in the All-Ireland semi-final in July, a game in which Armagh’s crucial forward, Aimee Mackin, was an absentee for the Orchard County. Following their promotion this year, Tyrone will initiate their Division One campaign on 26 January by hosting Meath. The Division One match between Armagh and Tyrone is slated for round two. Having been relegated this year, Donegal’s inaugural Division Two match will be an away game against Clare on 26 January. Among Donegal’s Division Two adversaries will be Galway, Cork, and Monaghan, with Galway having been this year’s beaten All-Ireland Finalists. Subsequent to their relegation from Division Two this year, Cavan is set to participate in Division Three, which also features Down. Meanwhile, Antrim, Derry, and Fermanagh will be among the Division Four hopefuls. Each of the four divisions will comprise eight teams. In all divisions except Division Four, the top two teams will advance to their respective finals. The semi-finals for Division Four are scheduled for 30 March. The finals for Divisions One and Two will be held at Croke Park on 12 April, with the deciders for Divisions Three and Four occurring the following day.
