Authorities have apprehended two additional individuals on suspicion of murder concerning the fatal stabbing of a man in Bradford. Luqman Ishfaq, 23, was discovered with stab wounds on Barlow Street in Barkerend on Monday 21 October following what law enforcement described as an “incident of violent disorder,” and he subsequently succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. West Yorkshire Police reported that a 27-year-old man was taken into custody last Friday on suspicion of murder and subsequently released on bail. Concurrently, a 22-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday for suspected murder and is currently being held in police custody. The investigation into Mr. Ishfaq’s death has now led to the arrest of nine men on suspicion of murder, with an additional man apprehended for violent disorder. Police officials stated that, with the exception of the 22-year-old man detained on Wednesday, all other arrested individuals have since been granted bail. A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police confirmed that “a number” of inquiries are ongoing to ascertain the circumstances surrounding Mr. Ishfaq’s death. Previously, police indicated that he was among four individuals who had escaped from a VW Golf involved in the disorder and were pursued by a group carrying weapons.
