Aberdeen Football Club has submitted an application for a temporary alcohol license to operate a pre-match fan zone trial situated outside Pittodrie Stadium. This request for an occasional license, filed with the city council, is in anticipation of an event planned before the St Johnstone match on Saturday, December 7. The proposed hours for alcohol service are from noon until 14:45, preceding the 15:00 kick-off. The deadline for submitting any objections to this application is November 20. Supporters of the home team will be able to obtain a complimentary ticket for entry to the fan zone via the club’s official ticketing platform. Currently, The Dons share the top position in the Scottish Premiership with champions Celtic, both having accumulated 31 points after 11 matches. Both teams have recorded 10 victories and one draw, with their sole draw occurring during their direct encounter. Celtic holds the top spot due to a superior goal difference. Aberdeen has been working to enhance fan engagement and the overall match day experience. Regarding the application, the club chose not to provide a comment. Copyright 2024 BBC. All rights reserved.
