Northumbria Police has launched an investigation into the deaths of two men in Gateshead, which officers suspect are linked to drugs. The deceased men were aged in their 30s and 50s. Three people have been apprehended in connection with these incidents. During the investigation, officers executed a search warrant at an address on Claremont South Avenue in Bensham. Inside the property, evidence of drug production and weapons was discovered. A force spokesperson confirmed: “Two men – aged in their 20s and 30s – and a woman in her 30s have been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.” The spokesperson further noted: “All three individuals remain in police custody.” Authorities are continuing their efforts to ascertain whether the two deaths are connected.
