Following police raids conducted in Bristol, six individuals have been charged after law enforcement confiscated a “significant amount” of heroin, cocaine, and amphetamine. Avon and Somerset Police reported that their officers discovered 3.46 stone (22kg) of heroin and cocaine, alongside 2.20 stone (14kg) of amphetamine. Justin Pearce, aged 44; Joshua Batt, 27; Mark Bourne, 48; Mark Glover, 47; and Leah Murphy, 43, presented themselves at Bristol Crown Court on Wednesday. They face charges of conspiracy to supply heroin, cocaine, and amphetamine. These five individuals were ordered to remain in custody, while a sixth person, Janet Chard, 67, received bail. The next court appearance for all six defendants is scheduled for 8 January 2025, again at Bristol Crown Court. The confiscation of the drugs followed an operation conducted on Monday, during which numerous properties throughout the city were searched.
