A woman in Telford sustained “potentially serious” injuries after being struck by a bus. Emergency services were dispatched to Lightmoor Way on Thursday at 10:38 GMT. The single-decker bus collided with garden railings before injuring the pedestrian. The West Midlands Ambulance Service reported that ambulance staff administered advanced trauma care to the woman before she was transported to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. The service confirmed that no other individuals were hurt. It added: “She travelled to the hospital under emergency blue light conditions and medics continued to deliver treatment on route”. Two fire appliances were mobilised from Much Wenlock and Telford Central. Crews subsequently secured the vehicle at the scene of the incident.
