Manchester City manager Gareth Taylor has characterized the upcoming match against Chelsea as “more than just another game.” The two leading teams in the Women’s Super League are currently separated by a single point ahead of Saturday’s fixture, although Chelsea holds an advantage with a game in hand. Taylor affirmed the significance of such encounters, stating, “There is no denying these games are really important.” He added, “I wouldn’t undermine any other game that we play in the WSL because the margins are so tight as we have seen. For us it’s a good game, I’m looking forward to the challenge.” Taylor expressed anticipation for his first managerial confrontation on the touchline with Sonia Bompastor. Regarding Bompastor, he remarked, “I have met her on a couple of occasions. I have to say she is impressive.” Taylor further elaborated, “She is very engaging, very warm and both of us will be trying not necessarily kicking lumps out of each other on the sideline, but we will be trying our very best to help our teams to be successful on Saturday.” He concluded, “I’ve been pretty impressed with her. We both understand on Saturday we both have a job to do to help our teams to win.” Post navigation Fulham’s Alex Iwobi Uses Music to Inspire Scotland’s World Cup Qualifying Group Confirmed
