A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a car in the north Bristol area. The incident, involving a motorbike and a Volkswagen Polo vehicle, took place on Kings Weston Lane, in Avonmouth, just before 07:00 GMT on Thursday. The rider of the motorbike, who has not yet been formally identified but is believed to have been a man in his thirties, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police stated that his family had been informed and were being supported by specialist officers. The road was closed between its junctions with St Andrew’s Road and Merebank Road for investigative inquiries throughout Thursday morning, before reopening shortly before 13:30 GMT. Authorities have urged anyone with information, including dashcam or CCTV footage, to get in touch.
