Birmingham Phoenix Women have named Alistair Maiden as their head coach for The Hundred’s 2025 season. Maiden previously held the position of assistant coach for England, contributing to their 2017 Women’s World Cup triumph. The 42-year-old Maiden takes over from Ben Sawyer, whose five-year tenure concluded with the expiration of his contract. Maiden, a former assistant coach for England Women, also recently became the inaugural head coach for Bears Women. This past summer, he was a member of the coaching team that guided London Spirit Women to secure their initial Hundred title.
