Former winger Craig Conway expressed his belief that Dundee United can sustain their impressive early-season performance and secure a top-six position in the Premiership, following their notable return to the league. The Tannadice club is presently ranked fourth in the league standings, having accumulated 19 points from 12 matches since their promotion last season. Conway, who was part of the United team that won the Scottish Cup in 2010 during his five years at the club, noted his admiration for Jim Goodwin’s summer player acquisitions, alongside the team’s overall results and displays. He conveyed to BBC Scotland, “They’ve had a tough few years, but a club of their size must be in the top league.” He continued, “They’ve been really impressive. Anyone can beat anyone in that league and every game is tough, but they have every chance of finishing high.” Conway added, “What helps when you get promoted is momentum. So hopefully they can keep their form up and prove everyone else wrong who feels they are going to falter.” Conway is scheduled to participate with the United team in the Scottish Masters event this evening, which will be broadcast live on BBC Scotland, iPlayer, and the BBC Sport website starting at 19:15 GMT.
