CCTV footage has been disseminated, showing two individuals whom police are seeking in connection with a shooting incident where a man was injured upon exiting a taxi in Liverpool. The 27-year-old victim transported himself to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to his lower leg at 22:10 GMT on Monday, October 28, as reported by Merseyside Police. The assault is believed to have taken place approximately 30 minutes prior to this, specifically on Denman Drive, Tuebrook, while the victim was disembarking from a private hire vehicle. Investigators have now made public images depicting two men walking along Prescot Road, a nearby street, at 22:07 on the same evening. Detectives believe these individuals may possess information pertinent to the ongoing inquiry. The injured individual has since been discharged from the hospital. Detective Chief Inspector Phil Atkinson, a member of the force’s firearms investigation team, expressed his hope that the released images would “jog someone’s memory” and appealed to anyone who might have observed the men to report information “as a matter of urgency.” He stated, “To open fire at someone in such a reckless manner could clearly have had much more serious if not fatal consequences.” Det Ch Insp Atkinson added, “Information from the public is vital if we are to breakdown the organised crime groups who bring misery to our streets and I would appeal to anyone who has information to come forward.” Post navigation Creator of Wonka Event Accused of Rape Mother of Stabbing Victim Describes Ordeal as “Never-Ending Nightmare”
