Pedro Martinez Losa has been relieved of his duties as Scotland women’s head coach. The Scottish FA board determined that “change is required” following the team’s unsuccessful qualification bid for Euro 2025. Scotland’s play-off defeat by Finland resulted in the team missing a major tournament appearance for six years. Martinez Losa assumed leadership in July 2021. During his tenure, he oversaw Scotland’s promotion to Nations League A, but was unable to secure qualification for either the World Cup or the Euros. The Scottish FA has concluded its association with the Spaniard. The recruitment process for his successor “will begin immediately.”
