Dan James and Joe Rodon, two players for Leeds United, have expressed their ambition to replicate their strong home performance in their away matches. The Whites currently share the distinction of being the most formidable team at home with Sheffield United, having accumulated 28 points from 11 fixtures played at Elland Road, a venue where they have secured eight consecutive victories. However, Daniel Farke’s squad occupies the eighth position in the away form standings, having earned 14 points from 10 matches, with only three victories recorded away from home (D5 L2). James stated, “We’ve had great home form this season and we always want it to be tough when people come to our place,” during an interview on BBC’s Don’t Go To Bed Just Yet podcast, prior to Saturday’s game against Oxford United. He further added, “We need to keep that going, but we need to win away from home as well.” Rodon remarked that Leeds “want to win every game” but acknowledged that each team in the Championship “offers a different challenge.” He elaborated, “It’s more just about being consistent, being together as a team, making more chances and being more ruthless and clinical.” Rodon also mentioned, “The last couple of away games, we conceded in the first half so that’s something we’ve looked at and something we want to try and change and limit.” He concluded by saying, “And overall, just be very consistent as we are at home and turn that into away games.” James emphasized that securing the initial goal in a match is vital for subsequently scoring more and “dominate” teams. James further commented, “I don’t think we’ve been as good away at doing that.” He then stated, “That’s something we want to improve on.” The complete interview with Dan James and Joe Rodon is accessible on the Don’t Go To Bed Just Yet podcast via BBC Sounds.
