Organisers have announced that a music festival, which has previously showcased artists such as Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, and Jessie Ware, will not occur next year. The Cambridge Club Festival, situated at Childerley Orchard, originated as a gin festival before evolving into a weekend-long occasion. A declaration posted on the festival’s official website stated: “It is with a heavy but full heart that we announce that The Cambridge Club Festival will not take place in 2025.” The declaration does not specify the reason behind this decision. The BBC has reached out to the organisers seeking further information. Approximately 25,000 music enthusiasts attended this year’s event to witness performances by notable figures, including the iconic Chaka Khan. The announcement further included: “After seven golden years in the festival field with you, we are now taking a few moments to reflect and look at what the future holds for this special community of music fans.” “We’ll be in touch again when we have more information to share with you. But for now, thank you for all the incredible memories together, and for joining us on the CC journey.” For updates on Cambridgeshire news, access BBC Sounds, Facebook, Instagram, and X.
