Paul Wotton, manager of Torquay United, has stated that his National League South manager of the month award reflects the dedication of everyone involved with the club. This recognition follows a period last month where his team secured a 4-2 victory over then-league leaders Weston-super-Mare, contributing to a seven-game unbeaten streak. In November, “The Gulls” remained undefeated across seven league matches, securing three wins. Following 20 games, the team now sits just one point shy of the top position in the league standings. This marks Wotton’s inaugural award of this kind since his appointment as Torquay manager during the summer. Speaking to BBC Radio Devon, Wotton commented, “I think it’s recognition for the club’s hard work.” He further elaborated, stating, “My staff work hard, the ground staff work hard, the administration side work hard, it’s a real team effort.” Wotton added, “I get a little bit embarrassed really, but it’s a team effort, so it’s lovely.” Reflecting on the period, he noted, “It was a long month – we had to work hard and we had some good results.” He concluded by saying, “There were some good moments and some not so good moments, so all in all it was a good month for us, but that’s all it was, a good month.” Post navigation Hamilton asserts confidence despite challenging Qatar Grand Prix qualifying Skelton Identifies Scotland as Australia’s Toughest Autumn Tour Match
