Former Festive Decorations Donated to Coastal Resorts

Festive street lights are being provided to enhance two coastal resorts. The City of Lincoln Council, having invested £140,000 in upgrading its festive decorations in 2023, is now donating its previous illuminations. These lights are being given free of charge to Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea to spread some festive cheer. Rob Watson, a town councillor who represents Sutton on Sea on East Lindsey District Council, characterized the donation as a “fantastic gift”. Councillor Watson stated that the agreement was reached following an incidental conversation with a city councillor. He elaborated, stating: “This is a fantastic gift for us because we don’t have an awfully great display of lights in our deprived coastal town and village, so I thought it was too good an offer to refuse.”
