Submitting a picture implies adherence to the BBC’s Terms and Conditions and the BBC’s privacy policy. By contributing to Dorset’s Big Picture, individuals agree to provide the BBC with “a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to publish and otherwise use the material in any way that we want, and in any media worldwide.” It is important to understand that contributors retain copyright to their submissions for Dorset’s Big Picture, and if an image is selected, the contributor’s name will be published with it.
